Our Story
Founded in 2022, we had one vision: Let’s rewrite the rules, from the ground up - one boat at a time
The boatbuilding industry is full of world-class talent, especially in the Chesapeake Bay area so, to tout ourselves as being “the best” seemed a little silly. Our approach is respect, gratitude, and inclusion. We’re here to empower people from all walks of life to learn the history, create their own, and enjoy all the splendor that water has to offer.
Diverse by Design
Our backgrounds are diverse. We’re powerboaters and sailors with passions for racing, fishing, and assorted watersports. We’re boatbuilding instructors, production and manufacturing specialists, welders, systems technicians, guitar builders, and even therapists. Our craftsmen have portfolios that include countless boat builds, classes, and repairs.
Our work is guided by a unique set of values. We call them the Sunday Pants Doctrine - principles born from a chance friendship that began in a small garage-based boat shop, not so dissimilar to our own.

Sunday Pants is a metaphor for how a child’s curiosity can evolve into a lifelong passion, and guiding principles that navigate our journey to be the change needed to make a difference in the lives and things that are important to us.
